At Drake Circus we invest time, care and trust in our staff, ensuring that we assist them in providing our customers with the best possible service. Over the past two years we have invested in World Host Training to over 60 of our staff, which resulted in the centre achieving a WorldHost status.
Drake Circus continues to improve the overall presence of the centre, both in physical appearance and accessibility. Within the last year, for example, we have extended the number of parent and child parking bays, as well as installing number-plate-recognition; enabling customers to leave the car park quicker and more efficiently.
We aim to provide a great experience for all age groups, and because of this we have recently held dementia training sessions, which were delivered by Claire Puckey of Plymouth City Council and Ian Sherriff of Plymouth University who is also a board member of the Alzeimer’s Society.
This Dementia Awareness training programme was also extended to over 60 of the centre’s staff, and allowed Drake Circus to be recognised as fully dementia friendly.
We believe that working with all members of the public will help strengthen our community, and will help build an even stronger relationship for years to come.
