There is a 24-hour walkway between the Old Town Street and Cornwall Street entrance which remains open and allows customers to access the stairwell and lifts to the car park levels until 11pm when the car park closes

We want everyone to feel safe and comfortable visiting us.

We have a number of toilet and changing facilities available for those with additional needs:
- We have two disabled toilets (no radar key required) on level 1 at the food court. These are both fitted with handrails. A Changing Places care room is also available which is fitted with a hospital bed and hoist as well as toilet facilities with handrails.
- On the lower ground floor, customers will find two disabled toilets (no radar key required) both fitted with handrails.
- At the 24-hour walkway, we also have one disabled toilet (radar key required) fitted with handrails.
All our toilets have signs on display to highlight to customers that not all disabilities are visible, helping to make all our customers feel comfortable while using our facilities.

Does Drake Circus hire mobility equipment? Can I hire a wheelchair? Are there any mobility scooters at Drake Circus?
Yes. Our Shopmobility facility is open 7 days a week and is located on Car Park Level 2. Wheelchairs are available for hire to use in the shopping centre and there are some scooters that are available to hire to people with a valid Shopmobility Membership Card. For more information, please call Drake Circus’s Shopmobility Shop on 01752 221530.
For a wider selection of equipment, you can come to Access Plymouth, a local mobility charity. Set close to Drake Circus, you can register for its scheme and then use scooters and wheelchairs both in the mall and around the Plymouth shopping area.
The first time you use the powered equipment you will need to book a short test to make sure that we have the correct equipment for you and that we are happy to let you use it. This test MUST be pre booked.
Joining the Shopmobility scheme costs £13.00 per year (or £5 for a 3 week holiday membership) and then £6 per day to hire.

Yes - you can find baby changing facilities inside the public toilets on the Lower Mall, near McColls. There are also facilities located at the Food Court.
The majority of our baby changing rooms have chairs for feeding. Parents are welcome to feed their children throughout the mall too.
Please check with individual restaurants and cafes who may be able to offer bottle warming facilities for you.

Do I need a permit to undertake work at Drake Circus and/or The Barcode? How do I get a permit to work?
A permit is required before any work can take place onsite at Drake Circus and The Barcode, this includes but is not limited to contractors, charity and community activity, photographers etc.
We now use an online permit system, Vicinitee. If you have not done so already, please register to the new system using the following link https://drakecircus.viciniteeretail.com/
If you are already registered on Vicinitee for another British Land centre e.g., Meadowhall please contact permit.request@drakecircus.com who will be able to add you to Drake Circus.
If you experience any issues with logging onto the system, please contact permit.request@drakecircus.com.
If your company is not within our list of contractors, please email permit.request@drakecircus.com including your full company name, address and postcode so we can add you to the system.
Please note: permit to work requests require at least 3 working days’ notice prior to commencement of works.

4. Speak the truth: We want to hear about your honest experience at Drake Circus but please avoid any false, fraudulent or misleading claims that may damage the reputation of the centre and/or the people who work here.
Our social channels encourage our community of shoppers and visitors at Drake Circus to openly discuss experiences in, or directly surrounding, the centre but it should be noted that unless the post has come from our official account, posts and comments do not represent the views of Drake Circus.
Our social media channels are monitored daily during regular working hours (9.00am -5.30pm) and we will respond to any direct messages as soon as possible. Out of hours and weekend monitoring covers critical and emergency situations but we will always respond as soon as possible to any enquiries.

At Drake Circus our aim is to provide a safe, family friendly focussed environment. The following policies are in place in order to ensure that everyone enjoys their visit.
To maintain a family environment Drake Circus will not permit:
- Any actions that may be perceived as intimidating, for example the wearing of motorcycle helmets and hoods, or groups of youths (male or female) loitering either in the centre or restaurant areas or in the surrounding footpaths and car parks. Please note that truancy will be reported to the relevant authority.
- Unsociable behaviour, including swearing, shouting or behaviour that could be detrimental to a family environment.
- Dogs behaving unacceptably (in general, orderly dogs on leads can access the common areas of the Centre; we do reserve the right to request that these are removed should behaviour be deemed unacceptable, or no longer in keeping with a safe and orderly environment).
- Shirts and shoes not being worn.
To guarantee customers enjoy their visit to Drake Circus, we do not allow the following:
- Leafleting, canvassing or conducting any interviews and surveys within the centre or car parks.
- Busking or unauthorised selling of goods in the Centre or car parks.
- Blocking access to Retail Units, corridors or parking areas.
To ensure the health & safety of our visitors the following are strictly prohibited:
- Smoking (including e-cigarettes) inside the Centre or Car Parks.
- Cycling, roller blading, micro scooters and skating in the Centre or Car Parks.
- Running, climbing or sitting on any escalator, balustrade, barrier, fence or railing.
- Prams are not allowed on the escalators
- Filming and photography is not permitted unless authorisation is granted by Centre Management in advance. The use of tripod equipment is not permitted.
The following legal condition must be adhered to:
- Alcohol is only to be consumed within premises that hold a relevant license.
- Customers must stay within the boundaries of the premises that they have purchase their drink from.
Drake Circus is private property and reserves the right to refuse entry to, or remove any persons from its property.
Failure to adhere to the Visitor Code of Conduct may result in a ban from the premises.

There are council-owned areas outside Drake Circus where you can secure your bike with a lock. Please note that these are not secure spaces and customers leave their bike here at their own risk. There are motorbike spaces available in our car park but these are not secure.

It couldn't be simpler to get to Drake Circus - the centre is really easy to access by car, bus and train. There is a car park on-site and bus stops are located nearby. Plymouth train station is only 10 minutes away.
