We have a number of toilet and changing facilities available for those with additional needs:

  • We have two disabled toilets (no radar key required) on level 1 at the food court. These are both fitted with handrails. A Changing Places care room is also available which is fitted with a hospital bed and hoist as well as toilet facilities with handrails.
  • On the lower ground floor, customers will find two disabled toilets (no radar key required) both fitted with handrails. 
  • At the 24-hour walkway, we also have one disabled toilet (radar key required) fitted with handrails.

All our toilets have signs on display to highlight to customers that not all disabilities are visible, helping to make all our customers feel comfortable while using our facilities.

Yes. Our Shopmobility facility is open 7 days a week and is located on Car Park Level 2. Wheelchairs are available for hire to use in the shopping centre and there are some scooters that are available to hire to people with a valid Shopmobility Membership Card. For more information, please call Drake Circus’s Shopmobility Shop on 01752 221530.

For a wider selection of equipment, you can come to Access Plymouth, a local mobility charity. Set close to Drake Circus, you can register for its scheme and then use scooters and wheelchairs both in the mall and around the Plymouth shopping area.

The first time you use the powered equipment you will need to book a short test to make sure that we have the correct equipment for you and that we are happy to let you use it. This test MUST be pre booked.

Joining the Shopmobility scheme costs £13.00 per year (or £5 for a 3 week holiday membership) and then £6 per day to hire.

Yes, we have designated disabled bays located across Upper (Yellow) and Lower (Orange) Car Park levels. Family and Children parking spaces are located on the Mid (blue) Car Park level at Drake Circus The Barcode.

Drake Circus do not offer a quiet room. 

Our toilets, including disabled toilet and baby changing facilities, are located on the Lower Mall (opposite No. 1 Currency) and on the Upper Mall (near American Fruity). Our disabled toilets can be found in the following locations:
  • First Floor, Food Court – two disabled toilets (no radar key required) which are both fitted with handrails.
  • First Floor, Food Court – a Changing Places care room is also available which is fitted with a hospital bed and hoist, as well as toilet facilities with handrails.
  • Lower Ground Floor – two disabled toilets (no radar key required) which are both fitted with handrails.​​​

Our First Floor toilets are open from 08:30 - 18:30 Monday to Friday (including Bank Holiday Mondays), 08:30 - 20:00 Thursday and 09:00 - 17:00 on Sunday. Our Lower Mall toilets are open from 08:00 - 19:00 Monday to Friday (including Bank Holiday Mondays), 08:00 - 20:30 Thursday and 09:30 - 17:30 on Sunday.

The nearest car park that accepts cash payments is the Britannia Car Park - 6 Charles Cross Roundabout, Plymouth PL4 0BG

Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate large vehicles, vans, motorhomes or coaches in our car park. There is a 2m height restriction in our car park.

We have six Pod Point electric vehicle charging points located on the Upper (Yellow) level of The Barcode car park.

Charging points all offer 7kW charge via a Type 2 universal socket. Our EV charging is 49p per KWH.

There is a 24-hour walkway between the Old Town Street and Cornwall Street entrance which remains open and allows customers to access the stairwell and lifts to the car park levels until 11pm when the car park closes

The car park uses car registration plate recognition - ANPR which means you won't get a physical ticket to use. Pay machines are located on each floor of the car park via the lifts.

There are more than 400 car park spaces and six electric car charging points located within The Barcode car park.

Disabled parking is charged as per the standard tariff. Info can be found on the parking page.

Yes, there are designated spaces on the Mid (Blue) Level car park at The Barcode.

From 1st May: Our car parking pay machines now accept payment via card and Apple Pay only, and you are no longer able to pay by cash.

The pay machines are by the lifts on each level of the car park.

Motorcycle parking is found on the left just before the entry barrier and is free of charge.

There are no child friendly or safe areas at Drake Circus, and we do not offer creche facilities. 

No, we don't offer facilities to hire a pushchair or buggy at Drake Circus.

Yes - you can find baby changing facilities inside the public toilets on the Lower Mall, near McColls. There are also facilities located at the Food Court.

The majority of our baby changing rooms have chairs for feeding. Parents are welcome to feed their children throughout the mall too. 

Please check with individual restaurants and cafes who may be able to offer bottle warming facilities for you. 

There are three child rides in Drake Circus. One can be found outside of the 1st floor toilets, another is located on the 2nd floor car park stairwell lobby, and another is outside the entrance to Next on the 1st floor of the mall.

There are no lockers available at Drake Circus.

There are two photo booths located within Drake Circus, one outside the 1st floor toilets, and another on the 2nd floor car park stairwell. These photo booths are 'tap and pay' so no cash is required to use them.

Drake Circus has a security team available in the centre. If you have any concerns while visiting Drake Circus, please talk to a member of our security team. 

Yes - you can find ATM machines on the Lower Mall and at the Food Court.

All our security staff are trained to deal with first aid, but we do not offer a dedicated first aid room. If you require assistance while visiting Drake Circus, please speak to any member of staff who will be able to help or seek assistance for you.

Drake Circus does not offer a gift card. Many of our stores and restaurants offer their own gift cards, you can find a full list here.

Drake Circus does not currently offer Wi-fi access for customers. We apologise for any inconvenience.

Yes, we have plenty of great places to eat and drink here at Drake Circus. We have 15 cafes, bars and restaurants, with some offering outdoor dining options as well as indoor.

The returns policies of each retailer will vary, so please check with them directly.

We have a vast selection of places to eat and drink to suit your tastes; these are located at our Food Court. There are also cafes and places to stop for a snack throughout the centre. Drinks and snacks machines are located on Levels 1 and 2 of the Car Park.

Restaraunt and cafe closing times may vary, please contact them directly before making a journey to visit them specifically. 

We have around 80 stores at Drake Circus. We have a mix of high street stores and independent retailers. We have stores such as H&M, Next, Starbucks and M&S.

It couldn't be simpler to get to Drake Circus - the centre is really easy to access by car, bus and train. There is a car park on-site and bus stops are located nearby. Plymouth train station is only 10 minutes away. 

Drake Circus car park is situated off Charles Street.  It's clearly signposted via the city centre car park messaging system.  The postcode for Drake Circus is PL1 1EA.

There are various cycle routes around the city.

There are no post boxes in Drake Circus.

The nearest Post Box is at Mayflower Street. 

Yes, we're dog friendly. We've made it pawsible to shop till you drop with your beloved pooch here at Drake Circus.

A permit is required before any work can take place onsite at Drake Circus and The Barcode, this includes but is not limited to contractors, charity and community activity, photographers etc.

We now use an online permit system, Vicinitee. If you have not done so already, please register to the new system using the following link https://drakecircus.viciniteeretail.com/

If you are already registered on Vicinitee for another British Land centre e.g., Drake Circus please contact [email protected] who will be able to add you to Drake Circus.

If you experience any issues with logging onto the system, please contact [email protected].

If your company is not within our list of contractors, please email [email protected] including your full company name, address and postcode so we can add you to the system.

Please note: permit to work requests require at least 3 working days’ notice prior to commencement of works.

We want your Drake Circus experience online to be as great as your experience when you visit us. We’d love for you to get involved with our X, Facebook and Instagram pages but we also need to make sure these are safe, friendly and respectful places so we have a few guidelines to make sure this happens: 1. Your profile may also be shared with centre security and/or law enforcement. 3. No promotions or spam. Any unauthorised promotions for third party products or services or infringement of third-party intellectual property, privacy, and/or publicity rights aren’t allowed and will be removed from the Page. 4. Speak the truth: We want to hear about your honest experience at Drake Circus but please avoid any false, fraudulent or misleading claims that may damage the reputation of the centre and/or the people who work here. Our social channels encourage our community of shoppers and visitors at Drake Circus to openly discuss experiences in, or directly surrounding, the centre but it should be noted that unless the post has come from our official account, posts and comments do not represent the views of Drake Circus. Our social media channels are monitored daily during regular working hours (9.00am -5.30pm) and we will respond to any direct messages as soon as possible. Out of hours and weekend monitoring covers critical and emergency situations but we will always respond as soon as possible to any enquiries. At Drake Circus our aim is to provide a safe, family friendly focussed environment. The following policies are in place in order to ensure that everyone enjoys their visit.

To maintain a family environment Drake Circus will not permit:

  • Any actions that may be perceived as intimidating, for example the wearing of motorcycle helmets and hoods, or groups of youths (male or female) loitering either in the centre or restaurant areas or in the surrounding footpaths and car parks. Please note that truancy will be reported to the relevant authority.
  • Unsociable behaviour, including swearing, shouting or behaviour that could be detrimental to a family environment.
  • Dogs behaving unacceptably (in general, orderly dogs on leads can access the common areas of the Centre; we do reserve the right to request that these are removed should behaviour be deemed unacceptable, or no longer in keeping with a safe and orderly environment).
  • Shirts and shoes not being worn.

 

To guarantee customers enjoy their visit to Drake Circus, we do not allow the following:

  • Leafleting, canvassing or conducting any interviews and surveys within the centre or car parks.
  • Busking or unauthorised selling of goods in the Centre or car parks.
  • Blocking access to Retail Units, corridors or parking areas.

 

To ensure the health & safety of our visitors the following are strictly prohibited:

  • Smoking (including e-cigarettes) inside the Centre or Car Parks.
  • Cycling, roller blading, micro scooters and skating in the Centre or Car Parks.
  • Running, climbing or sitting on any escalator, balustrade, barrier, fence or railing.
  • Prams are not allowed on the escalators
  • Filming and photography is not permitted unless authorisation is granted by Centre Management in advance. The use of tripod equipment is not permitted.

 

The following legal condition must be adhered to:

  • Alcohol is only to be consumed within premises that hold a relevant license.
  • Customers must stay within the boundaries of the premises that they have purchase their drink from.

 

Drake Circus is private property and reserves the right to refuse entry to, or remove any persons from its property.

Failure to adhere to the Visitor Code of Conduct may result in a ban from the premises.

 

There are council-owned areas outside Drake Circus where you can secure your bike with a lock. Please note that these are not secure spaces and customers leave their bike here at their own risk. There are motorbike spaces available in our car park but these are not secure.

Any photography within Drake Circus or Drake Circus The Barcode is at the discretion of our security team. For security purposes, any professional or semi-professional photography needs to be approved by the Management Team in advance and all photographers issued with a permit to work within the Centre. If you would like to photograph Drake Circus or Drake Circus The Barcode please contact [email protected] in the first instance.

Drake Circus The Barcode now open, feature 12 screen IMAX 4DX Cineworld and Paradise Island Adventure Golf offering two themed courses. More information can be found on The Barcode page.

Typical opening hours for Drake Circus are 09:00 – 18:00 Monday – Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, 09:00 – 20:00 Thursday and 10:30 – 16:30 on Sunday.

The Customer Service Desk is currently open between 10:00-17:00 Monday to Saturday, and closed on Sunday.
