Whilst we may be unusually quiet at the moment, we have been working alongside our local community. We thought you might like to know what we’re up to.
What we're doing
Over the last two weeks, British Land’s Communities team has been working with our network of local partners to identify how together we can best support them. We will be sharing details soon.
Community Investment Fund
British Land has been able to re-deploy the remaining £250,000 within British Land's Corporate Investment Fund, directly to help communities across the country respond to the impact of Covid-19 over the next few months.
We have doubled our annual donation to Shelter to £50,000 to support their helpline, which has seen a sharp rise in calls from people worried about their jobs and homes as a result of the virus.
We know many of you will be offering support wherever you can, if you’d like to do more or need support, do get in contact firstname.lastname@example.org
Our community top picks
M&S | NHS and Emergency Service Workers
The M&S Foodhall is open for you and your community from 8 - 6pm Monday - Saturday and from 10.30 - 4.30pm on Sunday. The first hour of trading on Mondays and Thursdays will be dedicated to the older and vulnerable customers. For NHS and Emergency Service workers this will be Tuesdays and Fridays.
M&S ask their other customers to respect this request, as it's the kindness and support we show each other that will get us through this.
Your M&S Foodhall is open, so you and your community can get the fresh food and essentials you need. We’ve had overnight deliveries from our fantastic suppliers. We’ve reserved the first hour of trading on certain days for our older and vulnerable customers, and our brilliant NHS workers. Afternoons are quieter times in store, and we’ll be restocking the shelves with delicious M&S Food all day. #allinthistogether
