The 9 Unmissable Fashion Trends for Autumn Winter 2025
Welcome to the most exciting shopping season of all: autumn/winter – and the prevailing mood is all about doing it your own way.
Seen everywhere from Miu Miu and Prada’s autumn/winter 2025 collections to the Labubu bag charm craze, personalisation is key. So, this season it’s about adding a few main pieces that you love (whether that’s this season’s go-to chocolate-brown mascara or a gorgeous new slouchy bag, stacking bangles or a statement faux fur) to your existing wardrobe and simply making them your own.
Feeling inspired? Here are the big trends from now and into winter 2026 to know. And, you can shop them all at Drake Circus – followed by good food, drinks and catch-ups at The Barcode.
1. The big autumn/winter coat trends
Coats are about having fun this season so statement faux fur a la Rihanna (crop styles and dressing gown-style ankle grazers are both having a moment), shaggy and fuzzy materials are everywhere (Marks & Spencer and River Island have some amazing pieces). It goes without saying that leopard print is here to stay.
If you’re going for a more traditional trench or overcoat then add your own belt for a cinched-in waist while you can mix up a practical-but-cool parka with biker boots and gauzy dresses for a slightly bohemian/Seventies clashing vibe.
Shop at Marks & Spencer, H&M, Levi’s, Boux Avenue, Mango, Oliver Bonas, Next, Primark, New Look, Quiz, River Island and White Stuff.

2. Utility denim
Good jeans are everywhere this season with Marks & Spencer, Primark and Next leading the way in soft denim in every style and length: oversize and slouchy for teens and barrel leg, wide palazzo, straight and flare for grown-ups. Now is the time to find your perfect pair for weekends and laid-back days out.
Shop at Marks & Spencer, H&M, Levi’s, Mango, Oliver Bonas, Next, Primark, New Look, Quiz, River Island and White Stuff.

3. Cosy season vibes for interiors are huge…
The personalisation trend is seeping into interiors where the aim is to create a sanctuary where you can happily rest and reset. Gorgeous tactile cushions; candles with notes of saffron, vanilla and sandalwood; practical-and-warming throws and warming mugs of hot chocolate are simple ways to make your home winter welcoming.
Shop at Rituals, Lush, Marks & Spencer, Hotel Chocolat, H&M, Oliver Bonas, Next and Primark.

4. Autumn/winter 2025 colour trends
Muted-but-vibrant tones of brown and purple match autumn and winter perfectly. From suede trainers to soft leather jackets and trousers suits, mocha mousse is still leading the way when it comes to chocolate autumnal tones but purple is also having a moment: royal (as seen at Valentino and Miu Miu), amethyst, black cherry and damson, lilac and brighter electric work really well for this season’s sheer partywear and fun faux fur.
Also unexpected shades of red – tomato to deep burgundy – are ideal for traffic-stopping party looks or bringing some vibrancy to your office wardrobe. Go head to toe with beautiful dresses or add a splash of the colour with your handbags and shoes.
Shop at Marks & Spencer, H&M, Levi’s, Boux Avenue, Mango, Oliver Bonas, Next, Primark, New Look, Quiz, River Island and White Stuff.

5. Brogues, loafers, boots and beyond (with colourful socks)
All of autumn/winter’s favourite shoe styles are back: biker boots, brogues and loafers but simply give them a contemporary twist by adding colourful statement socks. The same goes for this season’s most wanted styles: suede Boston Birkenstocks, Nike Cortez, Adidas Ghost Sprint trainers and Puma SpeedCat.

6. Gothic lace and a sense of romance
Margot Robbie in Wuthering Heights, Pride & Prejudice coming to Netflix next year, hems and panels at Dior, Chloé and Louis Vuitton and voluminous skirts at Givenchy, ladylike lace and sheer are having a moment (Lady Gaga and Sabrina Carpenter at the VMAs are your over-the-top inspiration.)
Perfect for partywear season and beyond, Marks & Spencer and H&M are mixing lace-trimmed satin dresses with masculine structured jackets and oversized winter knits while Next have beautiful Edwardian-inspired shirts. Also look to the street style from Copenhagen Fashion Week where attendees were mixing and matching lace skirts and dresses over trousers and jeans.
Shop at Marks & Spencer, H&M, Levi’s, Boux Avenue, Mango, Oliver Bonas, Next, Primark, New Look, Quiz, River Island and White Stuff.

7. Squishy soft bags and textured motif handbags
Soft, buttery and squashy totes and clutches in suede and leather are taking over Marks & Spencer, Mango and H&M; carry under your arm for style points. Otherwise go for appliqued, beaded, embellished and embroidered designs with oversize bows, diamantes and sprinkles of fun…
Shop at Marks & Spencer, H&M, Mango, Oliver Bonas, Next, Primark, New Look, Quiz and River Island.

8. Ladylike pencil skirts and hourglass shapes
The pencil skirt is back with both Daisy Edgar-Jones and Hailey Bieber embracing its return – and it’s utterly versatile… Wear it with ballet flats and a cardigan for the office or make it super-glam with a tailored jacket and heels. It’s also perfect for nights out, paired with an oversize belt and layered jewellery.
Shop at Marks & Spencer, H&M, Levi’s, Boux Avenue, Mango, Oliver Bonas, Next, Primark, New Look, Quiz, River Island and White Stuff.

9. Accessories, bag charms and eclectic stacking
More is more this season. Think of Taylor Swift dripping in diamonds or Dua Lipa’s mix of resin and gold bangles and cuffs and the answer is just layer it on. From neckerchiefs and silk scarves to link necklaces, charm bracelets, bag charms, watches and chunky gold rings, it’s about going all out, mixing and matching and styling it to suit you.
Shop at Omega, Breitling, Tag Heuer, Ernest Jones, Allum & Sidaway, Fraser Hart, Warren James, Pandora, Lovisa, Marks & Spencer, H&M, Mango, Oliver Bonas, Next, Primark, New Look, Quiz and River Island.
