Job Title: Estate Security Supervisor

Reporting to: Senior Security Supervisor

 

Job detail: Estate Security Officer

Summary & Purpose of the Role

Supervising staff in their day-to-day duties and leading by example to ensure the highest standards while maintaining peak operational efficiency through collaboration with colleagues and managers.

Focusing on the entire Drake Circus Estate. Responding to and managing incidents/occurrences acting as the on-site bronze or silver command as required.

Person specification:

Customer Service

  • Customer service, communication, and teamwork - recognising that the public, retailers, contractors, and colleagues are all customers and ensuring the team are delivering the highest standards of service.
  • Be helpful, approachable, and courteous always and maintain a positive relationship between Drake Circus, retailers, and all other stakeholders, particularly members of the public.

Team Management

  • Proactive supervision of staff and resources ensuring that high standards are maintained.
  • Attend team meetings; liaising with other departments to perform duties and aid overall business needs.
  • Ensure all communications contained within the handover are addressed at the start of each shift as a matter of course
  • Development of the team.  This will involve building relationships, evaluation of training needs and working to develop a highly motivated team.
  • Liaise and proactively communicate with managers, other supervisors and operatives on day to day operational matters. Inform Duty Managers, Incident Managers and/or Department Managers of problems arising.

Security

  • Ensure that all areas of the estate are patrolled sufficiently to minimise risk and are locked down appropriately.
  • Monitor those retailers and contractor across the estate are complying with the estate rules to ensure safe working.
  • Have a good understanding of the estates emergency procedures and ensure that the team are adequately trained.
  • Ensure that the estate is safe and welcoming by proactive use of resource.

HR

  • Conduct all team member absence return to work documentation
  • Conduct and document all informal discussions with security staff regarding performance issues and complete staff observation documentation.
  • Maintain confidentiality in all aspects of client and staff information.
  • Assist in the sickness, absence, appraisal, and monitoring of staff as required.
  • At all times to follow through any managerial instructions.

Skills and Experience

  • SIA licences – Door Supervision and/plus CCTV licence
  • IOSH Managing Safely
  • 3-Day First Aid at Work and ideally trauma first aid training
  • IT literate and familiar with Office 365
  • Articulate and can communicate effectively at all levels with experience of building and maintaining a variety of stakeholder partnerships
  •
