Planning Your Visit

Stay safe with us

The wellbeing of our colleagues and customers is our number one priority, and so we’ve introduced extra measures to help everyone have a safe and enjoyable visit. You can help everyone to stay safe by:

  • Wearing a face covering – this is mandatory in enclosed public spaces from 24th July. Find out more here
  • Staying at home if you, or anyone in your household, has symptoms of Covid-19
  • Washing your hands regularly
  • Keeping a two-metre distance from people outside of your household
  • Using contactless payments wherever possible

When visiting us, please look out for:

  • Hand sanitising stations
  • New signage to help everyone keep a two-metre distance from others
  • One-way/ keep right systems to help with social distancing
  • Plexiglass screen barriers at our visitor desks

Our colleagues have all been provided with suitable PPE such as masks and gloves to help them carry out their roles safely. We’re also continuing with our enhanced cleaning regimes, including regular cleaning of key touchpoints throughout each day.

Busy times
We will be closely managing visitor numbers, so we can be confident that everyone can maintain social distancing. We're normally at our busiest between 11:30 - 15.30 on a Saturday, so if you can, please consider visiting us outside of those times.

In line with government guidance, we’re also asking visitors to shop by themselves wherever possible, and to keep household groups to a minimum if not.

To make sure everyone can keep a two-metre distance while in our centre, we will be closely managing our visitor numbers. If we become particularly busy, we may ask you to queue considerately in a designated area outside, and we may also temporarily close our car parks.

A number of stores are operating a ‘traffic light’ system which uses red and green signals to indicate if visitors are able to enter or not, depending on capacity.

When green is displayed, please enter the store to shop. When red is displayed the store is at capacity. Please do not enter and keep moving.

Our facilities and services
To help keep our customers and colleagues safe while visiting us, we are making some changes to the facilities and services we are currently able to offer.

Please visit our Facilities and services page to find out more.

Many of our retailers offer a click and collect service, meaning that you can place your order in advance and collect at a time to suit you. Find out more here.

Getting here and heading home

We’ve made some temporary changes to help keep everyone safe while visiting us, which may affect your usual travel arrangements.

Entrances and exits
Your usual way of entering Drake Circus may have changed, as we’re implementing a one-way ‘keep right’ system to help support social distancing. Please follow the onsite signage and only use the designated crossing points.

Car parks
We’ve adapted our car parks to help everyone keep a safe distance when visiting us. We have a one-way system in place for pedestrians so please look out for signage when you arrive, and click here to find out more detail.

For car park payments, we encourage you to download the app, Glide, to make easy, contactless payments via your phone and avoid queues.

Please note that the usual car parking charges were reinstated from 15th June 2020. Find out more here

Other ways to travel
Cyclists can make use of the bike racks on Cornwall Street outside the M&S Foodcourt entrance, and there are also bike racks available on level -2 of The Barcode in the lift lobby.
